The network has a board which acts as the decision making body on behalf of all the constituent network organisations. This consists of:
- Chair of network
- Clinical coordinator and a nurse representative
- One commissioning representative from each PCT
- One lead clinician from each hospital critical care unit
- Critical care management representative from each Acute Trust
- Independent sector representative
- ISTC representative
The role of the Board is to ensure collective responsibility and co-operation by all the organisations within the critical care network in developing adult critical care services in line with national and local requirements. It has membership from all PCTs and Acute Trusts and is chaired by Phil Mettam, our Network Chairman. It meets bi-monthly.
